Well I've had my new guitar since February and decided to show it to the world...and here she is...The Vectis Bolt from Ram Guitars VanZandt Strat Vintage + neck position She's a real looker, plays like butter, light weight, and covers any pickup configuration I'll EVER need! I can get a strat, tele, humbucker, parallel, series, split-coil config from this guitar. Because of its vast combination of pickup config this is my guitar that I am primarily using, different settings= different sounds all from the same guitar so I do not have to worry about adjusting to another guitar.
2 reasons I chose this guitar Every guitar player has to either have or have gone thru the triumphant trio Les Paul/ Stratocaster/Telecaster 1. It was time for a strat For the longest time growing up I hated strats, I always thought they sounded a little thin because of the single coils, but within the past year I grew to really appreciate. Love the neck position on a strat- kinda of dark but the notes aren't too thick, getting those quacky out of phase sounds, I started to really like what the strats offered, it just took me a long to appreciate them. I tried dozens of strats before going for this one. I know that strats are known for the single coils, but the sound I was looking for was more versatility, being able to have that single and humbuck(ish) sound with just one guitar. 2. Consumer-friendly Ron over at RAM guitars is knowledgable and helpful guy. Can't say enough good things. A friend recommended me to check into RAM and Ron listened to what I wanted, and delivered exactly what I was looking for plus more! I'll shoot a clip of it soon. UPDATE: 8/2/13 This guitar is my go-to number 1 guitar. I finally have a handle on the switching and I am really happy with it. I just did an audio clip of it running into my Two-Rock Studio Pro 22 no effects other than the reverb from amp itself. The first sound is neck, then switches to middle alone, and then neck and middle. So your basic strat clean sounds from it (no bridge) will work on that pretty soon.
