Paul Sanchez started taking private lesson at the age of seven on the piano, which was his first instrument of many. As his skills on the piano grew so did the love for music and wanting to learn more. At eleven he turned to the string family learning both the Viola and the Violin in orchestra and pushed himself to learn more than what was being taught in class. "Paul has always kept an open mind when playing music and that has always been his key"- Saldivar. The next year he picked up the electric bass and guitar just to play with his cousin and well, the rest is history.
Throughout his guitar years Paul has worked to keep an open mind when playing music. Playing styles ranging from classical, contemporary, to funk, soul, pop and rock the one genre that he enjoys is jazz.. He has taken part participating in different ensemble classes/workshops to work on different aspects of music.

While attending University of Texas of The Permian Basin he studied under classical guitar under the direction of Benito Ramos and Piano with Nyela Basney.
